US 27 & SR 80
US 27 used to be the ‘main street’ to get to south Florida before other roads were built. US 27 will drop from 55-30 in towns like Clewiston and if you don’t see the sign then the flashing lights behind you will tip you off. There is a large bridge on the south side of the city and the speed limit drops and the design of the bridge hides speed traps.

The bridge is in Moore Haven, not Clewiston. The only bridge on US 27 in Clewiston is flat & you can see if there is a cop on the other side. If you are going over the bridge in Moore Haven follow ALL speed limit signs because there is usually a cop sitting & waiting on somebody to speed over it.
