US 422/ 286 interchange
The trooper will sit on the on-ramp from route 286 to 422 west. This ramp is high and steep, and you pass under 286 only to see the side of the ramp as you pass by. You have to go well past the on-ramp to see the trooper sitting there, and by that time it will be too late. The speed limit is 65, so there’s really no reason to go barrelling past the interchange.
