US 45

Slow down going through this sleepy little town in NW Tennessee. US Highway 45 was 4-laned and it bypassed Bradford. Now the town is drying up from no one doing business there (like they ever did before!) and cops earn a lot of money by sitting out on the 4-lane US 45 and nabbing people. Like most little towns, you can’t fight it and most of the locals can’t afford to even take off work to be in court, much less appeal. This used to be my hometown, so I know how corrupt they are. Back in the day, it was like Mayberry…they only had one cop! Now the town has at least 6 or more. I guess they have to pay their salaries somehow! Funny thing is…a lot of times you can go through the heart of town on the old US 45 and you won’t see a cop! They know where the money is. Be safe out there!

I suspect that the leaders from either Bradford or Medina learned how much the other was making on the 55 speed limit and decided to cash in. Medina has the camera. There are no businessed or homes any where around the "traps." Their greed and "stick it to 'em" philosophy is very obvious.

July 1, 2015 the State of Tennessee new law goes into effect they may be put out of business. Then they would not be able park there radar on the four lane. I guess then they would have to raise property tax instead of ticket money.

Evidently the law didn't make it. They still like to use their trailer cam and stick it in the right place, if you no what I mean.

Highway bypass south bend thur the light look ahead for older model flat blue pick up blacked out windows .I got 2 tickets same place. 1st 65 in 55, 2nd 56 in 55 . The way I figured out who it was ,by looking at the photo of my car looking at the road sings on the north bond side. I was coming back home 2 wks. Ago the same truck was on the North Bondside that Old f***ing truck sure Breaks down a lot, look ahead for the truck ,north side you can't see it speed limit changes before you top the hill. I go through there at least once a week carrying my wife to medical appts in Milan. They seem to have "retired" the older blue Chevy pickup for a newer Dodge Ram that's a dark silver in color. Still with the heavy blacked out windows.
