US 75

Auburn, NebraskaJul 13, 20031 Comments

While limits on many highways is 65, this stretch has 60 and 55 zones and is heavily enforced by Otoe and Nemaha county officers.

Comments:
Based on the review of the Auburn weekly newspaper, a lot of speeders appear from down south like Kansas, OK, and TX. I do not think they are being targeted specifically, but they are coming up from KS, which is 65mph, and hitting Nebraska highway 75, which is only 60 mph. If you go 4 over they typically will not bother you, but 6 over may make you bear bait and will likely get you a greeting card from our finest. There are no 65 mph highways in Nemaha county, but 20 miles north is Otoe county, and 75 is partly 4 lane, and 65 mph. Also, highly recommend carefully respecting the Auburn city speed limits.
