This whole town is a speed trap! I advise everyone to drive 5 mph under the speed limit until you are out on the open highway (70/65). I go thru there many times and most tickets are given on the south side as you’re leaving town. There is really no reason for low speed limit there, except, of course, for the revenue purposes. And, actually, the whole state of New Mexico is truly a Land of "entrapment".
