Speed limit signs are conspicuously posted going in both directions noting a decrease in the speed limit. This is due to several town streets and county roads intersecting with US Hwy 98 in a short distance. The speed limit is only lowered for no more than a mile. People should certainly slow down to be safe in this area. It is not a speed trap, they simply wish to be safe.
