US Highway 101 near C.D.F Station
2 miles south of Willits chp hides behind trees at beginning of steep down grade on north bound 101. cant see him until you are had. mornings he is on south bound on blind corner near the construction site. bad weather or eve is his busy time

Yes, this IS a Speed Trap. The reason is that after you come over the summit, north bound on 101, headed to Willits...ANY VEHICLE will exceed the 65mph limit, just coasting down the steep grade. I always shift down to a lower gear...but I still must break, several times. Usually, there is a CHP officer, near the bottom of the grade, to the side of the road..but because of low tree branches, you don't see his vehicle, until you are about 2 seconds away from him. All the same, it's your own fault
if you get a ticket, for not keeping your vehicle under control.
