The city needs to generate revenue to pay the cops wages, so you will now see cops either parked at the North entrance to the city or parked accross the street from the Asotin Market. Second street is the main drag through town, it is also a school zone. Beware!

Asotin has a lot of speeders! Summer is the worst. Asotin needed the police to keep teenagers going up river from speeding and hitting kids that play in Asotin. In my opion it is about time people started getting tickets for speeding in Asotin.
He or she are reffered to as City Marshall, all counties in Washington have them for cities under a certain population. The income from the tickets support the department. Watch out in any city or town with a small population. They all have one.
