Traveling Southbound on US Rt. 15, as you top the hill between Fish Hatchery Rd and Old Frederick Rd, the highway will curve right on the decline. when you reach the top of the hill and begin down to the bend, an ‘authorized vehicle turnaround’ 20-30 yards south of Old Frederick Rd is used quite frequently during morning rush hour, usually by 2 or 3 patrol cars at a time. From this position, they can target cars as they top the incline. Traffic travels between 70-75 MPH under normal conditions in this area; posted speed is 55.
