US Highway 155

Frankston, TexasJul 28, 20091 Comments

Going South on Hwy 155 (ie. from Tyler into Frankston); the traps begin anywhere from the Midway Package store on the left(east side of hwy) across hwy from a church. The police post up anywhere through the Frankston area. Mostly in the following areas as observed during route: left side of hwy – at brick entrance of new housing developement; right past Bacon Chevrolet on the right – as you top the hill- school entrance drive on the right; or across the street(left side) at the Subway parking lot; approaching the small shopping center on the left(grocery store>>gas station) anywhere in the parking lot; vacant bank lot also on the left maybe 50 yards from the gas station lot(most favorite post up spot so far); as you approach the 4-way stop light in Frankston – observe view of old tire shop on corner of intersection (also a big fave); too many to list obviously. this continues anywhere in the vacinity if you travel east or west on Hwy 175 @ intersection; be cautious at any points till completely out of the Frankston area. Oh by the way; speed limit is a whopping 45 mph on a 4-lane hwy. and even slower the closer you get into town. Good luck if you’re an out-of-towner; there really are no forgivens”by Frankston P.D. Small town (low income); means big ticket quota.”””

Comments:
Frankston is definitely running speed traps, I entered the Town on 175 and didn't see the 55 mph speed sign, I was doing 74 in what I thought was a 70 mph zone, I was pulled over and the Cop was in a great mood snickering and telling me I deserved a ticket, which is true, what he didn't say was he was going to lie about my speed, he claimed I was doing 80, which put me 1 mph over the limit to do defensive driving, therefore having to pay the whole price, I asked at the Court if I could sit it out in Jail and they said oh no that wouldn't pay much they could put me on a easy payment plan, this Town is Scammers, they just want the Money, ahhhh corruption at the local level.
