US Highway 17 near between Tappahannock
Leaving Port Royal on highway 17 between Tappahannock.
Divided road with 2 lanes going south and 2 going north. Additional 4 lanes for shoulder along with guardrails, looks like an interstate hwy. which is 65. No signs visible
and a State Police parked behind bushes. Nothing but corn fields and forest for about 5 miles. Speed of 55 is too low
for this stretch of road. NICE MONEY MAKER for Essex Court!

Actually the speed limit on Rt. 17 between Port Royal and Tappahannock is 60 mph--a reasonable speed for a road that is divided 4-lane with low traffic density, but not limited access.
