US Highway 17 near State Highway 50
Main North/South 4 Lane Hwy between 2 Major NC Cities. They are Jacksonville, (home of Camp Lejune Marine Corps Base) and Wilmington, (a major eastern Port).The Town of Holly Ridge limits are about 3 1/2 miles long.

The officer that gave Holly Ridge its well deserved reputation as a speed trap has retired. This does not mean that the town has reformed, only that instead of writing a ticket if you are caught 3 over they will give you 5. Also be careful driving west on Hwy 50 from the beach. The speed limit changes from 55 to 45 to 35 as you enter town. The cops like to hide where the limit drops to 35. They will get you for 10 over.
