US Highway 191 near Preston Road
From time to time Odessa police will setup at the Town and Country at this intersection. One officer will clock the motorists coming over the overpass while a line of officers standby to ticket speeding motorists. The speed limit on highway 191 drops down to 55 and motorists coming over the overpass are typically slowing down but can’t see the police waiting for them in the distance.

This is definitely not a speed trap. There are 55mph warning signs well before you get to the overpass and signs posted indicating 45mph coming down off the overpass. There have been people killed at that intersection because people ignore the speed limit signs and come over the overpass at 70mph. Once on top of the overpass at 70, there's not much time to slow down. Watch the signs, people!!!!
