From the city limits of the town of Catlettsburg you Better do 35 which is the posted speed limit. It is very easy to go faster than the posted limit as it is a 4 lane highway and there is some small hills and long straightaways. The police usually have 2 cars patrolling, as you pass one there will usually be another within a mile. I have been pulled over for no reason (just a bogus one) by the KY State Police. It seems they are just as bad to stop you especially late night. It would not hurt to raise the speed limit to 45, but it wont happen as it has been a trap for over 20 years. Ashland did raise their speed limit to 45 as you are coming into town from Catlettsburg (Good move Ashland)!
