US Highway 27

Dayton, TennesseeFeb 03, 20072 Comments

In Rhea County, especially within the City of Dayton, five of us were in town on business. Within one week, three of us were ticketed. Two for speeding (one being valid), and one for falsely running a red light (the officer claims he ran the red light three lights back – or about a mile or two back, but my colleague states that he never ran a red light). I have been lucky, but I see people pulled over all of the time on U.S. Hwy 27 (also called Rhea County Highway). Once business is through, I plan never to return again.

that's what you get maybe if you obey the law you won't get stopped

The Rhea County law enforcment officers are definately abusive of power. As a resident of the county, I have personally followed a flashing blue light (used to get through a red light!) into a convienence store parking lot for a coffee break.
