US Highway 30 near Grain Silos downtown
Clarence is a small town in East Central Iowa, this town has a speed limit of 25 MPH and is the only town on Highway 30 in Iowa with this low of speed limit. The police sit behind the large grain silos in the middle of town and shoot there radar out to the 25mph speed limit sighs. It is especially bad on weekends and holidays with people passing threw this area.

I know the chief there and his brothers are or were cops there also. When they're on duty, you're getting busted if you speed at all. Better to stay out of town altogether and take your business somewhere else. hit the locals in the posketbook and maybe they'll learn to protect and serve rather than harrass and ticket.
Yeah, I drive through Clarence several times a month, and have been for about 20 years.
Ive not been ticeketed (yet) but have seen many get pulled over. It used to be that you couldn't drive though there w/o gettin radar'd. Not as bad lately, but still pretty common...
