US Highway 36 near State Highway 25

The local newspaper, Rawlins County Square Deal, 9-25-08, lists as many as 4 tickets per day for speeding in a 20mph construction zone on US Hwy 36. A 24mph in the 20mph zone costs $60 for the fine, $70 for court costs and $5 administrative fee. Total cost is $135 for 4 mph over the posted speed limit. All tickets were for non-local drivers.

Comments:
Well I guess all non local drivers need to be watching for the signs that let them know what the speed is. If the sign says 20, and not 24, why would anyone complain about a ticket for going faster than the posted maximum speed.
