US Highway 41
This town of Sullivan and the county (also named Sullivan) are both notorious for speed traps. The speed limit on this stretch of U.S. Hwy 41 is 55 mph but dips low in this county. I live in Evansville and am forced to pass through Sullivan any time I need to get to our state’s capitol (Indianapolis). I don’t know very many frequent travelers of this route that haven’t been pinched for doing only several mph over in Sullivan County.

Driving yesterday south on hwy 41 mid-day. Had car on cruise at 65mph/verified with GPS too in a 60mph zone. I was stopped and issued a Warning Tickets. Think about it 65 in 60 ...no weaving nothing driving in one lane and get stopped by state police....cops of all kinds were everywhere.
