The officer will sit in the on ramp facing oncoming traffic. The onramp is a 180 degree onrap with elevated bank so you will not see the patrol until you are even with it. This placement is slightly dangerous to onramp drivers as well because if you are on the inner part of the lane you might clip the patrol car. This is an alternate spot to the Lake Cook position since it is one exit North of it and people who know about Lake Cook will speed up when there is no patrol placed there.
