US Highway 441/129 near Between Madison city limits and the Apalachee River

Madison, GeorgiaApr 29, 20041 Comments

State Patrol. This stretch of road is rather hilly. Patrolers will catch you coming over hills going to fast, and you will have no time to slow down. Keep it no more than 10 miles over the limit.

" Keep it no more than 10 miles over the limit." Ok, folks, this is nuts. A speed trap is when posted speeds are unnecessarily low and/or when they are posted and enforced so that a typical driver doesn't have reasonable time to slow down. Given that this whole stretch is 55 mph (this highest speed limit outside an Interstate), and that the original poster indicates that they give you 10 mph over that, I don't see how this qualifies as a speed trap.
