US Highway 50 near State Highway 93

Officer waits at bottom of hill that leads into village, no time to slow down and speed limit sign is not well marked. No warnings for even one mile an hour over, they have standard fine of 92 dollars for all offences. The Officer was very rude and over bearing for such a minor offence.
Paid wavier at mayors office day later, they didn’t get my payment logged in because the officers portion of the ticket got torn, and I got a letter from the Ohio DMV that my licenence was suspeneded, but I had my reciet from wher I paid the fine, and a copy of the ticket which I had made. Luckily I got the mess cleared up.

Funny, I drive through that area quite often and, per state law, the "reduced speed ahead 35 mph/45 mph/etc." sign is clearly posted BEFORE you get to where it actually drops to 45 mph from 55 mph (before you even enter the city limits, giving plenty of time to slow down), along with several speed limit signs as well that are posted well before you get to the "bottom of the hill" whether you are entering from the east, or west, into the city on U.S. Hwy. 50 (you didn't specify which way you were travelling). If you are entering from the west, heading east, it drops from 55 mph to 35 mph, again clearly marked with "reduced speed ahead" signs before you even enter the city limits (by law, you are required to be doing the speed limit when you pass the fist posted sign, after passing the "reduced speed ahead 35mph/45 mph/etc." sign). This shouldn't even be a concern unless you are just a completely reckless driver, as you are actually in a school zone prior to entering from the east (I would assume any responsible driver would slow down for this reason alone, especially when required during school hours). As for the BMV (that's what it is called in Ohio, which leads me to believe that, perhaps, you made this whole thing up anyway) suspending your license, it sounds as if, perhaps, you did not show prrof of insurance at the time you were cited. In that case, the BMV automatically suspends you license when they receive the copy of your citation, until you provide them with proof that you were insured at the time the violation occurred. So, in hindsight, it would appear that this is, in no way, a "speed trap".
