US Highway 50 Westbound near Apple Cafe
Westbound on Hwy 50 just past Camino Heights and the Apple Cafe, CHP car frequently parked just past the curve coming into Placerville. Cars usually traveling past the speed limit and you are on this CHP car before you know it and must brake quickly to avoid going over posted limit as you pass the officer’s car. Frequently pulls over traffic during morning commute.

Yes, this is a very popular spot...the downhill is no friend. Seriously watch your speed here ans all the way into town Proper. When you see the 40 mph sign, remember, they mean it. Witnessed MANY, MANY tickets written here...One was for me ;-)
