US Highway 61 near North of Wapello, Iowa between the city and Iowa River bridge
Heading South on HWY 61 coming into Wapello, Iowa, the speed changes from 65 to 55 just before you cross the Iowa River. Man people do not realize this. There are a few officers that like comb this in the evening writing anyone they can a ticket. They will not drop the speed on the ticket. (In Iowa 10 MPH and less over the limit does not count as a moving violation) They will drop lower it in court for a fee (I think $150 plus so much for each mile lowered) Louisa County is quickly becoming known as Hazzard County!
