US Highway 64 near Bridge

Columbia, North CarolinaMar 28, 20062 Comments

The new 64 Bypass to the Outer Banks goes from 70 to 35 in about a 2 or 3 mile distance as you enter Columbia. On the other side of town, headed to the beach the posted speed limit is 55 and the state troopers are heavy on this road an will pull you going over 62 REGULARLY

Comments:
There R speed limit changes that go from 70mph to 55mgh then 45mph then 35 mph going over the bridge heading East towards OBX. Once U R over the bridge the speed limit goes to 45mph and then 55mph after U go thru Columbia. There is a school as well and during school hours the speed changes to 35mph. So driver beware and don't go more than 5miles above the speed limit...it won't kill U!!!

The speed limit goes from 70mph to 55mph then to 35mph across the bridge, it DoEsNt hit 45mph until After the school! The speed limit in front of the school is 35mph at all times. Speed limit after school is 45mph then 55mph. Ncshp is always patrolling!!! I wouldn't recommend going over 60mph & be careful they slam on breaks & do u-turns right infront of you!
