When US 64 was moved to bypass McCrory, their city limits were extended just to the North of the new US 64. Enforcement of speed limits seem to be selective, targeting older drivers and teen-agers. Two different people claim to be the Chief of Police in the town. Fines are exhorbant. Dispatcher sets fines, says officers tell wrong amounts. Officer said driver in front of me wasn"t speeding as much as I was—he said I was doing 64 in a 55 zone and that he was not even going to argue with me.
