Local county sheriff hides on side of road late after dark using radar to record speed of cars entering into the township of Manteo. There is practically no traffic – easy to catch non-locals going over the speed limit given their unfamilarity with the area’s traffic laws.

Local cops all have the "Wyatt Earp" syndrome and have nothing better to do than to sit around drinking coffee with their buddies...and seeing who they can hassle that day! Drivers beware!!!
