US Highway 69 S
As you travel through the town of Wells on Hwy 69 in Cherokee County the speed limit drops from 70 to 35 at various points in the town. The local cop could be anywhere at anytime day or night. And he does not write warnings. Even one mile over the speed limit is not tolerated.

There isn't a single speed limit sign in Wells city limits that has 35 mph on it; Never has been! Pay attention to your surroundings! All traffic signs in the State of Texas say the exact same thing. Take responsibility for your actions, if you speed expect to get a ticket. If you do not get stopped this time you will get stopped eventually. TxDot sets the speed limit signs and the speed limit on all highways, you getting a ticket doesn't make it a speed trap.
