US Highway 70 near State Route 58
Travelling on Hwy. 70 westbound from New Bern to Kinston, just as you approach Kinston, the sign says "Reduce speed ahead". You have no idea what it is going to reduce to or how far ahead. Then you see the sign that reads 45mph. If you have been going 55, unless you really hit the brakes hard, you cannot slow down to 45 in that short time. You will get a ticket if you are not AT 45mph when you reach that sign. Doesn’t matter if you are slowing down and will be at 45 very soon.

Sure is a trap. Like it said above, you're going 55 mph. It says reduced speed ahead. Before you can check your odometer, it says 45 mph. Fat smokey is right there. Don't even waste your breath, you're getting a ticket. Very much a speed trap. Thats how the town makes it's money. Shame, Shame, Shame.
