US Highway 71 near 140th Street
When heading southbound on 71 hwy just south of the 140th street interchange, I’ve often seen (several times a week) one or more crusiers laying in wait behind mounding which obscures an on-ramp. You really can’t see the trap until you’re upon it. I typically pass through there in the mid afternoon on weekdays, but I have also seen the trap there in evening rush hour and late morning hours.

This is not a 'speed trap'. The speed limit there does not change and US71 is pretty much straight at that point.
This IS a convenient spot for police to wait, but it is not truly a 'speed trap'.
