US Highway 72 near Elk River Bridge
There is road construction underway on US Highway 72 from the Elk River Bridge into Rogersville (East side of town). The speed limit is posted at 45 mph. Traffic is usually moving along well at 55 to 60 mph. There have been many, many mornings (4:00-5:00 a.m.) that I have seen local police vehicles parked in a used car lot just East of Rogersville "taking pictures" of the traffic headed to work Eastbound on 72.
