US Highway 75 near A Few Miles North of TX Border

Colbert, OklahomaNov 27, 20062 Comments

As one approaches this trap from the south, a spotter vehicle is located facing traffic (yesterday it was a pickup truck) at the end of a road that dead ends at the highway. Less than a quarter of a mile north the road curves to the right where the officers pull over the vehicles. Yesterday there were four new patrol cars in this town of about 1000. One car was a black slealth Dodge Charger. Each of the cop cars had someone pulled over.

I got a speeding ticket there- I had my cruise control set at 68 (in a 70 limit)- and was still pulled over and given a ticket for going 75. I argued to no avail, contacted a lawyer who advised me to just pay it- it was my word against theirs. I did, but also reported them to the state dept. of highway patrol. I still have their reply to me- if they get as few as 3 complaints, they investigate. They did, and for a while they were prohibited from giving tickets of hwy 75, but I guess they're back in business now. It's very scary to be ticketed when your innocent .
