US Highway 76 near State Highway 93 Bridge

Clemson, South CarolinaMay 24, 20071 Comments

The officer hides between used cars parked at an Exxon station located between US 123 and highway 93 bridge. You can’t see the station until you pass under the bridge and round the curve going west. The speed limit is 45mph just before you reach the bridge. It drops to 40mph at the traffic light just before the bridge. Some times an officer will stand on the bridge with a camera radar while the other police are waiting between the Exxon and Ramada Inn.

Comments:
The speed limit signs are NOT clearly visible here either as well as the town and county limit signs and teh speed limit signs go from 40 to 45 to 40 to 55 in strange locations...NONE of these speeds are outside the normally accepted speedometer error for passenger cars. If someone has changed the original tire diameter all you have to go by is the indicated speed on the speedometer or the tachometer...If your speedometer does not work correctly put a tab on the tachometer to give an indication of speed in the highest practical gear for the driving condition and flow of traffic. Remember police radar is not accurate for several vehicles in a cluster and it can clock stationery objects moving at speed, usually of the patrol car.
