US Highway 82 near Ferry/Coast Road

After the Hwy 27 Cutoff to Sulfer headed West, use great care heading West along the freshly paved black top coming into the first little village on 82 (what’s left after Rita) Especially early evening and into the AM Hrs. Local sheriff sits in the dip in the weeds and is quit effective in finding speeders. They will be happy to relieve you of $165 for 15 mph over… on a road that has very very little traffic that is headed to Pt. Arthur.

Comments:
people see very little traffic on this highway, but what they dont see are the cows, deer, hogs, and other animals on this highway. if one gets in a wreck, it might be sometime before someone finds them. most officers will give from 10 to 15 mph before stopping someone for speeding. does not qualify as a speed trap.
