US Highway 95 near Park Street
This is a Huge hot spot for the Weiser PD. It seems that they have a lot of time on their hands as there is usually a WPD car sitting running radar near the turn out just North of this intersection. They usually are facing Northbound trying to catch speeders going southbound into town.

This is a speed trap for a very important reason.....there is a school right there at the light...highway 95 and Park Street. I cannot count on both hands and both feet how many times people have sped through that intersection coming from BOTH directions, blatantly ignoring the speed zone and the LARGE FLASHING LIGHTS. The highway is a dangerous place for both school kids and crossing guards at that intersection. There are times when I see people speed through there and there are not any police available to ticket them. Now, if any folks coming trhough Weiser, Idaho on highway 95 decide that ignoring the speed zone and placing our children and grandchildren in danger, think again...the chances of getting a speeding ticket are great and if the cops don't get you, a citizen will call your plates in and YOU WILL BE TICKETED. Slowing down, obeying the flashing signs that tell you it is a school zone, respecting our safety and the lives of our young ones here in this community will only take a minute of your speedy travel time.....OBSERVE THE SPEED ZONES!
As you go north through town it is 2 lanes both directions around a slight curve. If you happen to be in the left lane doing 33 in a 35 with a truck in the right lane the flashing sign is never visible. Put there on purpose with no intention of communicating to drivers the slower 25 mph requirement.
