THe Bristol Highway and anywhere on the bristol highway from johnson city into piney flats and all the way to bristol,tn is one big giant speed trap and its patrolled all day and all night and it might just be the biggest speed trap in johnson city period

I've lived in a subdivision just off Bristol Highway for fifteen years, and it is really hard to turn onto Bristol Highway with cars often flying past at 60-70 mph in a 45 mph zone. Having had several "brushes with death" over the years due to inconsiderate drivers ignoring speed limits, I think the JCPD and state troopers are to be congratulated for trying to keep speeders in check. My ONLY complaint is that they are not out there issuing tickets more than an hour or two per day.
