US Highway Right by the Burger King on the main drive near State Highway Route 1 Off-ramp heading into Milford

Milford, DelawareSep 21, 20082 Comments

The state cop sits in the area of the Burger King found on the main road right at the end of the Off-Ramp, which has a rediculously low 35 MPH speed limit (for about 300 feet)as you leave the 55 MPH limit on Route 1 and merge onto the 45 MPH limit through town. He sits there tagging people as they come down the ramp into town. He ESPECIALLY likes to tag state-owned and business-owned vehicles.

Comments:
I have lived here ALL my life and have NEVER seen a speed trap at this location. The Burger KIng is located in the bussiest part of the city at a main intersection. If you are speeding here, you deserve a ticket. The real speedtrap is at the other edge of town (going south) in the median strip of RT 113 one hundred yards from the transfer station. The town police sit here at tag speeders (in state and out of state).

There is not 35 Mile speed limit between the off ramp of RT 1 and Burger King. The speed limit goes from 55 to 45 when you come off Rt 1. It is a busy intersection with several lights and crossovers in the next half mile. You should not be speeding here.
