Exiting I-40 and going south on US 285, a 45 mph sign is posted so that after checking for traffic and turning on to 285 you are past the sign and you don’t see it. The 45 mph limit exists for about 250 yards and then goes to the 70 mph you would expect for a divided country highway with no building or homes. The State Police set just over a rise past the cross over and 100 yards from the 70 mph sign.Note that this is a State Police trap!
