US Highway US Route 250 near US Highway US Route 20
On US Route 250 between Route 20 and State Route 162 there is a posted "target enforcement area". The police are constantly out looking for speeders and/or passing cars. Route 250 is one lane in each direction and has a high volume of semi-truck traffic. Often, getting stuck behind someone doing 45 mph (posted speed is 55) it is necessary to pass. The problem is the police are not enforcing the hazards posed by one car backing up a mile of traffic, thus causing people to pass. This is a very heavily patrolled stretch of road. Be careful!
