State Troopers frequently hunt in packs between the US 35/50 interchange and the Vinton County line. They frequently park in areas where they can target citizens coming off the steep hills near Walnut Creek or while traveling thru the reduced speed zone within Londonderry. There are very few safe places along this route for them to pull you over putting everyone at risk of an accident. Because of this, the normal speed trap operation is 7 days per week from mid afternoon to dark.
