US83 San Saba River Bridge
Driving northbound to San Angelo on US 83, I was clocked at 55 mph in a 40 mph. I pride myself on going the speed limit (10% rule) and thought I was in a 50 mph. After I was given the ticket, I turned back around to see where the traffic speed sign was and it is extremely hidden in shade and off the road more than what I would consider allowable. Not to mention, the speed drops drastically from 75 mph coming into town to 40 mph in probably 300 feet +/-. I feel that this was an extremely immoral method to steal tax payers money. I understand making sure people are following the laws of our great state. But intentionally speed trapping people driving through your town is unethical in my opinion. This is most likely the only way they can pay their county sheriff but I do believe someone needs to complain to the county about this.
