Valley Ford Road

Just east of Roblar, CHP officer parks vehicle back off road and uses hand held. He targets westbound cars coming down the steep and straight highway where even if the car is on cruise control at 55 your speed may be more than that.

Comments:
Stop whining! this is in no way a speed trap. This is a long straight away, the officer has a very slim angle and this is always in favor of you, the driver. Period. So if the officer says he got you on radar at 65 you were actually going 67 or 68, not the other ay around. This should be removed from he speed trap list.

This is not a speed trap! I live just down the road and see R.V., moter homes pickups pulling big boats and weekend worriers flying down Valley Ford Road. The speed limit is 55 and you will not get pulled over for doing 60 ( I know the CHP officers the stand there and they give a warning for under 70 ). As far as down hill??? The hill is less than a 7% grade and 100 yards West to East. East to North is a 1% grade. No way you could be going over 60 with cruse control. Also there is a stop sign at Robler and Valley Ford. Alot of driver look to the left and roll through at 5 to 20 mph. I was talking to one of the CHP officers and saw a man drive through the stop sign at about 10 mph and the officer said " I dont think he can afored a tickit " and did not even pull him over. This is not a speed trap, slow down.
