Vanowen Street next to railroad tracks and airport Avenue near Hollywood Way Avenue

1 to 2 motor cycle police usually park on south side of Vanowen Street across from railroad tracks and airport, under shade trees or in front of a large parked vehicle, or in a driveway. Radar gun is pointed at oncoming traffic. Speed limit is clearly posted as 40 mph going east and west. Most enforcement is for East going cars towards Buena Vista Street (Vanowen dead ends into Buena Vista). Police are located mostly between Buena Vista and Hollywood Way (Fry’s Electronics on SW corner of Hollywood Way). Sometimes the police work in pairs one clocking speed and the other going after the vehicle. Traffic going West on Vanowen is sometimes stopped, and cars are directed into commercial lots on the south side of the street as there is no shoulder on Vanowen, it just abuts the train tracks to the north. I see the marjority of the stops around 8 to 8:30 a.m. Monday through Friday, but never in the rain.
