Various spots on John King Blvd.

Officers park in the turn-around median spots and strictly enforce the 45-mph speed limit. Occasionally, this occurs during daylight hours, but more often it is an after-dark exercise. I have seen them as early as 5:30 AM between 66 and the RR tracks to the south. This is strictly a speed-trap operation. There is no reason for such a low speed limit on a sparsely-traveled road that has no commercial activity and no houses. This road could easily accomodate a 60-mph speed limit, but the 45-limit is a revenue-producer.

Comments:
Also on Lakeshore sits in turn lane waiting for cars approaching Hwy 205 on the last hill where the slope is steep enough that even though the cruise control is engaged , if people do not ride their brakes the vehicle will go above the speed limit just coasting.
