Driving south into town along this main street the city limits sign is easily 1/4 to 1/2 mile before any other indications of a town. This is a new concrete, four lane highway. I don’t think there is even a traffic light on it. Speed limit drops sharply from 65mph to 45mph. After passing the city/speed limits sign thre is a long sweeping curve to the right and the cop sits on a service road and shoots Lidar from between the trees. When he pulled me over he said he shot me at 69 in a 45, but my donut detector/ k40 radar detector had never made a peep. The cop was the Asst. Cheif and was insolent, unshaven and absolutely unforgiving. I complained to my state legislator and his comment to me was that Gilbert was a small farming town and if I wanted any help with my complaint I would have to go to their local state rep. Thats ok. He is up for re-election this fall. By the way Gilbert city hall told me that if I would pay the ticket they would keep it off my record. I paid it. They posted it to my record anyway. Because I went to my legislator?
