Motorcycle officer parks in a private business driveway north of the westbound lane of W. 11th Ave. and uses Lidar to catch motorists going 45 in a 35 mile zone where there is no signage if you turn west onto W. 11th Ave from Bertelsen or streets to the west. There is a 35 mph sign westbound just west of Bailey Hill and no further speed limit sign for a couple of miles just east of Beltline by the Target Store. If you are used to turning westbound on W. 11th Ave. from west of Bailey Hill and know that the nearest speed limit sign in the direction of travel, you will think you are in a 45 mph zone when you are, in fact, in a 35 mph zone.
