Especially mid month and month end: Lee’s Summit, MO police dept has a radar car parked on the West shoulder between I-470 and Colbert Rd. They are only looking for cars going straight, not getting onto I-470. As you are coming down the hill past Chipman Rd, the cop car is looking for anyone above the speed limit, 60 mph. This is also a double fine zone. It is almost impossible to see the cop car, until you have gone under the interstate. I have no way of knowing the money collected, but it is MUCH more during these times. I worked in Lee’s Summit for 15 years, and the COP cars started showing up about the last 7 years.
