westbound 23 to ripon

Rosendale, WisconsinOct 02, 20145 Comments

Squad with radar sitting on eastbound shoulder watches westbound vehicles that pass through speed zones that go from 30 to 45 to 55 MPH in a relatively short stretch. They got us when accelerating through this area by saying that we were not yet out of the 30 zone when we were clocked at 48 (18 over). Hubby lost four points; fine was $125.

Comments:
Be careful here. If you get caught here I suspect collusion with Ripon to the west. Got my ticket, continued west, totally not speeding in Ripon, followed out of town anyway. My vehicle was unique so easy to trace and it at that point was the only way home going west. Bad group of cops.

Amazing....look at the map aerial. Cop in the high school driveway. Cop heading west on 23 between 2 civilians. How often do you see an aerial with a cop car in it? Can only assume the poor sap ahead of him is about to get a ticket. Can there be any doubt about this spot!

This is definitely still going on in 2016, except westbound 23 starts out at 25 MPH now. I got nailed with the exact same scenario as above. A semi blocked my view of the 25 MPH sign while approaching the 45 MPH marker ahead. Officer "Fife" took care of the rest.

Facing east on 23 going into Rosendale they park right in front of the 30 MPH sign. They do park right out in the open most of the time. They are looking to get you when you are near the higher or lower speed limit. I was going west to Ripon. Just before I got to his position he turned on the lights, and I stopped almost right away. He got me for 47 in the 30 MPH. When I stopped I was in the 45 zone. They will get you just before the speed limit change, don't speed up to soon.

Sargent is a real special case. Heading with my wife and grandchild to Wis Dells for a weekend at the waterpark. Last stop sign heading out of town gets to look like countryside and open highway. 44 in a 30, yes it is 30mph for quite a distance until you reach the 45. He hardcased me with a full on ticket. No consideration for unfamiliarity to the area. Conditions were clear and sunny. When I offered my hand for him to shake he batted it away. What a thing for my 3 year old grand son to see. AT A BOY some piece of work
