this is a speed trap, but speed limit is not 65mph, it is 55mph. Don't be fooled!
If you are going to comment on somthing, please get your facts straight before you do. The speed limit in this area is 65 MPH. The area where the CHP sits is not visible untill you pass is true, but you only get pulled over if your speeding. How is that a trap? Let's define "Speed Trap" a bit better before we call every place we get stopped a speed trap.
This is actually in Jamestown, not Sonora.
The speed changes from 65 to 55 just after the double lanes west of Green Springs Rd.
The Speed Limit here is 55 mph, not 65 as posted. It is only 65 once you hit the 4 lanes going towards Oakdale. And yes, it is considered Jamestown. I have seen the cop under the tree and it is above the highway. I do not know what the person means by crossover, there is no crossover anywhere near there.
