White Hall, Alabama, Lowndes County
U.S. Hwy 80 is four lane in Lowndes County and has light traffic since there is no city around for quite a distance. Whitehall is the local municipality and seems to live on revenue from their few local deputies in unmarked cars. I was clocked at 78 in a 65 mph zone and the fine was $212.00. This is about twice the amount of fines of similar size municipalities in Georgia.
