Whole Town

Grain Valley, MissouriFeb 17, 20101 Comments

I moved out of Grain Valley becaused an officer tried to give me a ticket for running green light back in 2007. I know that sounds silly but if I hadn’t had several witnesses to the event I would have been ticketed. After he decided that he wouldn’t give me a ticket for running the green light, he asked me if he could look in my car. I got mad and told him, no. I emptied my Bank account and moved to Oak Grove. Green Valley is a small town with a huge police department. Never drive through Green Valley at night. the whole town has a speed limit of 25 so you have to drive with one foot on the brake.

Comments:
I've owned a home in GRAIN VALLEY for 3 years and have never received a traffic infraction (knock on wood). While it is no secret that GV has a modern and well equipped PD, the whole town does NOT have a speed limit of 25. Aside from the school zones, only one section I can think of has a 25mph speed limit, and that is in the old section of town. Yes, this is right off of I-70 (70mph speed limit). However, drive a few miles through town and the speed limit becomes 40 (south of I-70). Hwy 40, which runs through town, is mostly 45mph (35 in some areas). The main road near the middle school is 35. Not that I dispute that GV runs speed traps (I've seen plenty), but if you've lived in the town long enough, you know where they are. What I dispute is that you ever lived in GRAIN VALLEY, since 1) You don't even know the name of the town 2) You obviously never ventured further than 3 miles off of I-70 into town 3) You got mad at an officer and he decided this was a reason to let you go. Seriously, you moved your whole residence because you ALMOST got a ticket?!
